What the Work Involves

Estate operations involve hands-on, team-based work where each role supports the preparation, execution, and completion of active projects. Work takes place throughout the week during setup and preparation phases, and on weekends during active sale days and customer operations.

No prior estate sale experience is required. Every team member is trained on clear systems, responsibilities, and operational standards before working projects independently.

Duties May Include:
  • Preparing properties for upcoming sales and transitions
  • Organizing, moving, and handling household contents
  • Supporting customer operations during public sale events
  • Assisting with setup, staging, signage, and walkthrough preparation
  • Loading, clearing, and coordinating post-sale property work
  • Maintaining organized, professional work environments throughout projects

Projects are active, fast-moving, and team-oriented, with each phase following a structured operational process from preparation through final clearing.

Work Gloves and Tablet

Roles & Compensation

White Glove appraisal

Organizers (Floor Staff)

$16–$20/hour
Organize, stage, and maintain clean, easy-to-shop environments while assisting customers during active sales.

Inventory & Pricing Specialist

$18–$24/hour (or position-based depending on skill)

Evaluate, price, and organize items to maximize total sale value while keeping inventory moving.

Cashiers

$16–$20/hour
Manage transactions, maintain checkout flow, and ensure accuracy during high-traffic sale periods.

Setup and Cleanout Crew

$18–$24/hour
Handle furniture, heavy items, and support full-home setup and final cleanout with efficiency and care.

Sales Lead/Auctioneer

Leads the sale, manages the team, and makes real-time decisions on-site.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Takes ownership and leads with confidence
  • Stays sharp under pressure
  • Makes clear, practical decisions fast

No license required to start. We’ll sponsor the right person.

Compensation based on leadership and sales performance.

Projects take place at different properties throughout Northern Illinois. Team members must be able to arrive reliably and on time at scheduled locations.

Physical Capability

Many roles involve lifting, organizing, moving, loading, and preparing household contents throughout active project environments.

Professional Standards

Team members represent Bright Estate Services through professional communication, respectful conduct, dependable performance, and a clean, organized appearance while on projects.

Background Check

Required to help maintain client trust, property security, and professional operational standards.
